December of Giving: Spreading the Love to Families in Need

@gives back, the charitable arm of @properties, is spreading the love this holiday season with the donation of 5,000 winter coats and 10,000 toys to families in need. The items are making their way into local communities through 18 organizations around Chicagoland, including Ronald McDonald House Charities, Kids Off the Block, and the Jesse White Learning Academy.

On December 17, @gives back teamed up with Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White to hand out gifts to children at the Jesse White Learning Academy in Hazel Crest, Illinois.

“We’re excited to help brighten the holidays for families in need through @gives back and local organizations that share @properties’ commitment to supporting our communities,” said @gives back president Kourtney N. Murray.

As part of the @gives back December of Giving initiative, @properties agents also purchased over 650 toys for local children through Daymaker, a charitable giving platform. @gives back is also donating $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity, a global non-profit dedicated to helping people build and improve places to call home.

Established in 2009 by @properties co-founders and co-CEOs Thad Wong and Mike Golden, @gives back was created to inspire charitable outreach among @properties agents and to support local organizations that make a positive impact. Since its founding, @gives back has collectively raised more than $1 million for charities that are creating meaningful change in our communities.
