@properties Christie’s International Real Estate: How are your donuts so tasty?
Joe Donut: That’s a good question! It’s a combination of a lot of things, but our donuts are made fresh every morning by a team of skilled bakers. That, combined with very creative and flavorful ingredients, makes our donuts more than just a “puff of fluff,” but a special hand-crafted treat.

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate: When was Joe Donut created and how many locations do you have now?
Joe Donut: The first Joe Donut location opened in Glenview in 2016, and it’s been a crazy ride since. Today, we’re working on opening our fifth location in Deerfield and sixth location in Mount Prospect.
@properties Christie’s International Real Estate: What is your go-to donut?
Joe Donut: Oh gosh, that’s a hard question to answer! It’s like asking if you have a favorite child. You know me, I don’t turn down too many donuts. I guess if I had to pick, I would go with a crunchy one. So, anything in our “Old Fashioned” line is my favorite. My wife is a devout fan of the “S’mores” donut.

@properties Christie’s International Real Estate: What was the inspiration for Joe Donut?
Joe Donut: Joe Donut is inspired by scratch baking and locally sourced ingredients. It’s great that you call this program “@ Loves Local” because we’re 100% about staying local and supporting our neighbors. Joe Donut started because we saw an empty building in our community that was perfect for a small coffee and gourmet donut shop. That’s really how it all began.

Joe Donut: Go with your gut, you can’t go wrong! If you can’t decide, definitely try one of our “Showoff” donuts, which are filled with fresh jams and creams.
